Trinity College posted a slender 69 points to 66 triumph over Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa to annex the All Island 'B' Division U-19 Cager Title in their All Island Inter Schools 'B' Division Under 19 Boys Basketball Tournament concluded at Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa on Tuesday.
Trinity College were trailing 30 points to 31 at breather but came back magnificently to turn the game in their favour with a superb late rally.
Dothaka Wickramasooriya scored a massive 24 points who was ably helped by Vidura Warapitiya with 18 points. Shanaka Madushan with 24 points and Indika Lakshan (18) were the top scorers for the home side.
In the third place match Nalanda College beat Ratnayake Central College, Walala. In the semi finals Trinity College defeated Nalanda College by a margin of 55 points to 41. For Trinity College Aluvihare 17, Randil and Dothaka Wickramasooriya with 12 points apiece were the best scorers while Amila (13) and Thivanka (10) secured points for the losers.
In the other semi final Prince of Wales cagers scored a run away 83 points to 39 win over Ratnayake Central College, Walala. Shanaka Madushanka 43 and Indika Lakshan 13 were the chief scorers for the winners while I. Jayatissa and K. Manayake were on target for the losers with 12 points each.
