Flame & Citron, a war based thrilling crime history drama directed by Ole Christian Madsen, tells about two fighters who participated in the World War II resistance group of Holger Danske. Set in Denmark in the backdrop of World War II, when the country was under German occupation, the story revolves around Flame (Thure Lindhardt) and Citron (Mads Mikkelsen), who covertly work for the Holger Danske group and carry out damaging activities, besides eliminating Danish informers. The two, who have been fast friends and associates even before the German occupation, share their hatred for the enemies of freedom.
