Mammoth is a Swedish movie about the relations, to be more précised relations between parents and children. Leo (Gail Garcia Bernal) and his wife Ellen (Michelle Williams) are a busy New York couple with a seven year old daughter Jackie. Leo is a successful businessman owning a gaming website while Ellen is a dedicated emergency surgeon who often works at nights. Their daughter is taken care of by a Filipino Nanny Gloria.
