Directed by Jonas Pate, Shrink is a drama about a top celebrity psychiatrist, who loses interest in his profession and becomes a drug addict after suffering a personal loss. Henry Carter (Kevin Spacey), an A-list psychiatrist, is too busy solving the problems of celebrities including a former well-known actress (Saffron Burrows), a self-doubting young writer (Mark Webber), and an absurdly obsessive-compulsive superagent (Dallas Roberts). His professional commitments leave him with little time to take care of his personal issues. It is then that he meets his first pro bono patient, in the form of a teenage girl who is new to the environs of Hollywood. While Henry has become fed-up with the glam and glitter of the movie world, his young patient is obsessed by it. Henry tries to keep his relation with the teenager, who is facing some really tough times, within the professional limits as he tries to help her, even though he conjures up some rather serious doubts in their first few meetings.
