SKIN is one of the most moving stories to emerge from apartheid South Africa: Sandra Laing is a black child born in the 1950s to white Afrikaners, unaware of their black ancestry. Her parents are rural shopkeepers serving the local black community, who lovingly bring her up as their white little girl. But at the age of ten, Sandra is driven out of white society. The film follows Sandras thirty-year journey from rejection to acceptance, betrayal to reconciliation, as she struggles to define her place in a changing world ? and triumphs against all odds.

Skin movie is biographical film, directed by Anthony Fabian; Skin is all about the suffering of a young girl from racial discrimination during the apartheid era. Sandra Laing, enters the world as a beautiful angel but is differentiated by the whole world as colored coz she born to white parents. In her childhood she is again reclassified as dark by the white-only school and consequently removed from there forcibly under the apartheid act. Despite her parents raise their voice against the law. On being a lady she disappears from the site of her parents as she elopes away with a black man without seeking any harmony from her parents. The star cast of the flick includes Sophie Okonedo (Sandra Laing), Sam Neill (Abraham Laing) and Alice Krige (Sannie Laing).
