does all the members have rankings or only top 10????
the members who post valuable posts will get the rankings
    not only the top 10
and if the top 10 r not posting well they will not get those rakings

As you guys already know we need some better user ranking system in ElaKiri to support people who really contribute for the community and also to influence others to be active and useful.

I am going to present my new concept about this issue. I think this will work out better since i have talked with few other members and they all liked it.
I want your ideas to fine tune this or to build a totally new system.

The whole concept mainly based on 2 parts.

    1. User
    2. Member

In simple when someone register in ElaKiri, he/she automatically gains the "User" status but he/she will have to go through some guidelines and try little bit hard to upgrade to the "Member" Status. Don't worry it'll be very very easy to become a member. But there will be sub categories in the Member stage too. Once you become a member you can reach them step by step. So the basic requirement to enter the privileged group will be gaining the membership (Member) from User level.

So lets start from the beginning. A guy who is registering in Elakiri...

    1. New User
He gets the rank called "New User"

    2. User
Once he reached 100 posts he will be automatically upgraded to "User" rank.

    3. User Level I, II, III,.....
As the post count grows he will get ranks like User Level I, II...
eg.. some guy in user level who has 10,000 posts will get a rank like "User Level IV"
If he never qualified to become a member he will be in User rank forever but his User rank will be upgraded to relevant User Level depending on the post count.

    Membership

So how to get the membership or how to enter so called basic privileged group?

    1. He should have very good knowledge of ElaKiri rules. If needed we might ask some real life practice questions about elakiri rules.

    2. Knowledge about simple functionality in ElaKiri. eg.. How to post a picture, How to post a video, How to open a poll, How to subscribe to threads and select correct email notification etc..

    3. Knowledge about posting. eg.. posting threads in correct category, Not posting only to increase the post count, never hijack others threads, stick to the topic in normal threads and only chat in the Chat section of the site.

    4. You must have at least 100 posts.

    1. Junior Member
Once he reach those requirements he can apply for the membership or we might contact him to offer membership. He gains the Junior Member rank for the start.

    2. Member Level I, II, III,........
As the post count grows he will get ranks like Member Level I, II...
eg.. some guy in Member level who has 10,000 posts will get a rank like "Member Level IV"
If he never qualified to upgrade to the next stage called Certified Member he will be in Member rank forever but his Member rank will be upgraded to relevant Member Level depending on the post count.

    Certified Member

This is one of the high privileged group who we value very much.

    Requirementsare

    1. Quality posting
    2. Loyalty to ElaKiri
    3. Great communication and community participation
    4. Should be an example to new comers as a key member of ElaKiri.
    5. Doing some extraordinary or unique things for the community will be an add advantage.

I have some more Member Stages to talk about. But first lets talk about these stages and post your ideas.

How this will effect existing members?

All the existing members will start in User level depending on their post count.
eg.. User Level I, II, III etc..
But to gain the Member or Certified Member levels he/she have to meet those requirements and post count will not be taken in to consideration.
Post count will only comes in to action when you want to upgrade your level within the stage of your membership.

    WOW NICE DO IT SOON

Gr8 work GT! Nice to see a membership ranking system where “post count” doesn’t play a major role. But I’ve got a question here - - - What are the added advantages of been a member or a certified member. Is it all about the recognition among members?

As a new suggestion to this system - - -

    1) As I understood, members have to apply to be a “Certified member”. Wouldn’t it be better if you guys (site admins) select the members who are suitable for this rank? - - Just a suggestion.

After reading it all, i still have few questions,

far as i can see, existing members or senior member will be automatically transformed in to users by the day change happens,

so still they have to start from the beginning to gain membership level,

if so what are you going to do with the excising member who already done some considerable work here ? do they have to start from the beginning too ?

    and one more question,
who are the people appointed as official staff, that look after others and giving them ranks ?

    cheers :)

Wow Finally GT :D I think this is better than the Post Count Rating. This has wide-variety and gives great value to the member :D

    Ohoma Yang :)

    EDIT: One question.

Have you used any system that disables "0 posters" to download files?
