Update your Nokia N73 to music edition

It seems that now it is possible to update your Nokia N73 to the music edition. The procedure is quite simple - change your N73’s product code to 0539343 and then use Nokia Software Updater to update your N73 to the Music Edition firmware.

The updated phone has the well-known Moby tune “In My Heart”, uses joystick controls to play music, and the media key on the phone becomes a one touch access to the music player.

But, be aware as this procedure will invalidate any warranty on your handset.



1. change your profile back to GENERAL before you start.
2. connect your phone to your PC and your PC to the Internet.
3. Run the code changing program
4. Run the Nokia Update
5. Voila!


How do i upgrade my N73 firmware to N73ME.

1) Download and install Nokia PC Suite. http://www.nokia.com.sg/nokia/0,,88454,00.html
This program allows your PC to recognise your mobile phone.

2) Download Nemesis Service Suite and install it. http://mobilewireless.tripod.com/nemesis_service_suite.zip
This program allows you to change your mobile phone''s product code.

3) Download Nokia Software Updater and install it. http://www.nokia.com.sg/nokia/0,,97406,00.html
This program upgrades your mobile phone''s firmware.

4) Now connect your phone to the computer and choose PC-Suite mode on your mobile phone.

5) Start Nemesis Service Suite

6) Push "Scan for new device" (On the top right hand corner)

7) Go to Phone Info screen. In the right corner, you"ll find box called Product Code.
Change that product code number to your preferred code(see below) and click Enable.
Then click WRITE and in few seconds click READ, and you"ll see that your phones product code has been changed.
Now you can start Nokia Software Updater to flash your mobile phone.

well, I was implying the fact that most people spend all the money they can find into a new phone and when the phone is screwed, they have nothing else....

And it is funny how people will 50k+ phones don't have credits to make a call constantly...

heh heh its lyk OC'ing, worth the risk at tyms, but in this case i dnt think there are much differences in normal firmware n ME firmware (just the skin??, not worth it )

I suppose. But what exactly is the real difference between the normal and ME versions? Is it just the looks? :S

Infact luks

In both MEs and normal 4ns hardware is same (except the 4n casing, Headset wit 3.5mm universal jack + port adapter), but in software, OS z music-friendly(nt much diferences, at tyms music player has 1 or 2 added option, which cud be made avlbl wit othr softwr), skin is different (and downloadable for normal 4ns, lyk i did ) and thts it AFAIK.
