UPFA Bulathsinhala Pradeshiya Sabha member Lakmini Anupama Panditharatne has been arrested by the Colombo Crime Division for aiding a foreign employment scam.
Panditharatne (29) stands accused of introducing a suspect called Ranjith Koraleke Govina to a woman, and had promised her employment in Korea and obtained a bribe of Rs. 400,000 from her.
Panditharatne was produced before the Matugama Magistrate’s court and will be remanded till the 25th of June.
