UPFA MP Dinesh Gunwardena today warned that local councils where their party would be defeated would face problems in financial allocations for the councils.
He told a press conference in Colombo that already wherever the UNP has been in power the people have not benefited as they have failed to carry out development work in the respective areas.
“We do not believe that the people will not want to see their respective areas developed”, he said.
He said that the people should keep in mind that the government cannot be changed by defeating the UPFA in a couple of councils.
