you are missing the point...this transformation was becuase there was extreme economic activity that justified the buildings. when even katunayake airport had only one runway and the airport never had any issues with air trafffic why the fuck go and build a huge airport there..for whom?mattala is a good investment, it was failed because they did the last thing first. making the airport without developing the infrastructure.
