There is an application named Gnubox which can be used to connect to the internet via your Blutooth connection to download big stuff and to avoid internet charges:D for phone while you are in the vicinity of your PC. I am using this software in my N73 ME and it is working fine. But it is somewhat complicated:angry: to setup and i have wrote a complete document with screenshots to explain how to setup it.

Only tested in N73 and not sure about others. :baffled:

Here is the link to these files.

But...I don't understand why someone would go online in the phone, when you have a PC :D

say you use Nokia maps, this software downloads lots of map data to your phone it is about 10s of Mega bytes. And for some countries it supports download maps from internet. But unfortunately in Sri Lanka it does not give option to download map to PC and install it to phone. Only way is to direct download it using the phone. And there are some games only possible to install from the phone. So this piece of software may useful in these situations.

:) ppl need to download games, upload images/videos to blogs, and loads of stuff. some java games need gprs (online connection) to play.

    good post,
    thank you
this software is for phones which does not have wifi or windows mobile. u must have blutooth or usb data cable to connect to your pc with this soft and all the drivers has to be properly installed

    That's a reasonable argument in favour :)
