machan i hav a domain controller in my ofiz and all of the domain users can access internet from their workstation bcz i gave the router ip as default gateway to server and server ip is the def.gateway to workstations.now i changed server def.gateway into it's ip and now,no one can access internet as well as mails. some of the softwares updating its liscences thru the internet (installed in server) and those softwares are givin errors to every person who wrks bcz dares no inet connection present.
can u pls help me to sort this thing out bcz some users want to access to inet ant some dont.can u pls help...

How can server access the internet if u changed the routers ip on server..??
u have to set the router Ip as the default gatway..

yes machan,dats wat im trying to undestnd here.but wen i changed the server def.gateway to router ip,it gives all the client pc's access to inet ne.. dats da problem

wen i do that,server,as well as client pc's internet,email(outlook) is working fine.but i want to deny some users to access the inet.

then machan u have to install a proxy server.. u cannot control user access without a proxy..

ya... but ist better to use a seperate pc. if u r installing linux proxy p3 is enough.
