This is the first occasion since the war ended , a suicide bomb attack attempt was detected. Police media spokesman , SSP Ranjith Gunasekera stated that the Hiace Van with the bombs was taken into custody at Uppukulam. Three suspects have been taken in for questioning , and are now being interrogated by the Colombo Crime division (CCD).
