The JHU conducted the Soma Himi 4th commemoration on 22nd December 2007, in Anuradhapura under the patronage of Ven.Ellawala Medhananda thero, the JHU Leader.
The event was begun with a Dhamma Desana and a special Bodhi Pooja as a part of a commemorative Pinkama by Ven. Ellawala Medhananda Thero. After the Dhamma Desana their was a Pirikara Pooja for 50 buddhist monks.
Over 1000 thousand participants were at the event including Ven.Sama Theros Mother and the Brother Somasiri. Ven.Athuraliye Rathana Thero – JHU Parliamentary group leader, JHU Policy Maker Minister Champika Ranawak and over two hundred Army personals were also participated the Pinkama.
