For one thing, I've had a 35k worth Gigabyte (crap!) VGA burn just after one year.
2nd thing is that I like their customer support. Piece of mind after you buy one from them. (True, their prices are steep)

thats just bad luck.. i use my nforce3 based Gbyte Mobo for nearly 4 years now.. no probs at all. had a 9700 pro gbyte vga too... it didnt give me any probs too

That 9700Pro is what I burned!

Anyway, I felt the build quality of it wasn't as expected from such an expensive card.

Yes, but it didn't much. Only 345 on core and 325 on mem. It just got pwned in one day! Everything is fine...turned the PC off. Next day turned the PC on...I got freaked out! That about sums it up

i didnt OC it on the core much.. but took the mem clock up to new level.... dont remeber the clocks now.. it was ages ago ne

That much? It's not much. Stock was 324 (325) on the core and 310 (x2) on mem :S

OC was only 21MHz on the core and 15MHzx2 on mem...isn't worth even mentioning :S
