Hi guyz wanna know something about VGA cards.

1) What is the difference between Nvidea branded Geforce VGA card and other branded VGA cards with Nvidea chip set(like Foxconn & Gigabyte)?
Dont say the price difference :P

2)Why the old 8800GT card outperform some of the Nvidea's newer 9 series VGA cards(Ex-9600GT)?!
(I know 1 reason is -Due to the 128 Stream processors 8800GT can handle the game well than 9600GT even @ higher res). Any other reasons?

1. Nvidia only provides the technology and other companies buy the technology and make the cards accordingly, for example the technology goes behind a 8800GT actually purchased by companies like Gigabyte, XFX and make those cards..

But also this could be done in 2 ways.. either stick to the reference specification set by Nvidia or the companies may offer non-reference creation of their own but largely they gotta pay license to buy the base technology to Nivida.. or even ATI its the same case!

2. This is classic case of bad naming from Nividia! thier 9 series was just not much of a 9 series card and nor the entry models were supiror to some 8 series cards like 8800GT.. its just a bad branding practice!

    1. Now its hard to find Nvidia branded VGA's in the market! Nvidia makes the graphics processor and chipset features and the diagrams and sample for manufacturing companies and they make their own branded VGA cards with Nvidia specifications and some times they are using high quality parts than Nvidia!
2.9600GT is more developed version of 8600GT and smaller die size! 9800GT is like the same same features but DIE shrinked and they act more cool and powerful!

I think this andswers your questions! :D
