Vista + Ubuntu is dual boot supported?

no im just tryin to update the existing xp installation to vista may b i'll have to install ubuntu again im using ubuntu 8.04

    Its better to run the windows as a virtual pc within the *Nix. then no need to dual boot or worry about upgrades overwriting MBR.

    what is "*Nix"? somthing lyk VMware? Well that will result in a performance loss isnt it?
    anyway vista is a RAM eater i only have 1gb ne so better stick with xp...otherwise i'd not b able to play even the games i now play in xp:P
