Mine here is a 10 years old, small Hyundai i30 hatch - fully petrol

Pre purchase, I got it checked for 60 points or 360 points of inspections, by an organisation - bought low mileage and still to date, very happy with the vehicle

I live in the city and other than the weekend shopping trip, the car is in the garage

Dumping money in a depreciating vehicle vs appreciating investment is a controversial topic..

Public transport is always cheaper than owning your own but again that's controversial..

And for those who plan to do Uber to cover the cost, I could not even break even, the trip cost, when I did mine..

Even in NYC it's the same procedure - parking could be prohibitively expensive, in any major city in the world..
