The Police will take legal action against vehicles with VVIP and VIP stickers pasted on windscreen as they had received information that such vehicles are used for drug peddling and other nefarious activities.
Meanwhile the Traffic Police DIG today ordered to take action according to the motor vehicles act to ban all tinted glasses covering the driver’s seat and the front seat on vehicles from today, police said.
According to the motor vehicle act, the front seats should be clearly seen through.
However, an area of 20-per cent from the top of the front windscreen could be tinted to avoid direct sunlight.Front windscreens cannot be tinted without special permission, police said.
