An Israeli deputy prime minister on Friday warned that Iran would face attack if it pursues what he said was its nuclear weapons programme.

"If Iran continues its nuclear weapons programme, we will attack it," said Shaul Mofaz, who is also transportation minister.

"Other options are disappearing. The sanctions are not effective. There will be no alternative but to attack Iran in order to stop the Iranian nuclear programme," Mofaz told the Yediot Aharonot daily.

He stressed such an operation could only be conducted with US support.

A former defence minister and armed forces chief of staff, Mofaz hopes to replace embattled Ehud Olmert as prime minister and at the helm of the Kadima party.

Iran loose the war...hmm...thats something that we have to think.
Who'd start the nuke research if they don't have the resources to stand something like this?

Anyway, Iran has opposed to the US stuff for long. They must have something

    Israel and other US allies are going to make a Big mistake here..........

    Iran would be victorious and the US and its allies are going to regret it in there entire life times..............

    Ahamadenjad is a good man............But if you try to mess with him you will definitely pay the price...........:yes:

    Well..personally I don't think US would involve in this directly!!

    But they would as always get a third party to do the dirty work, there is a very good probability that this voice coming out of Israel is backed by US! Could be some CIA funded thingy! Regardless of what US and ISRAEL does is good or bad...IF US does come into the picture, truth to be said.. I don't think IRAN will survive an attack from a joint operation by those 2 nations..

    Because.. ISRAEL and US jointly has immense AIR POWER plus other resources!!!

    And...currently..all nations surrounding IRAN (Pakistan, Afghanistan & Iraq) is either an ally of US or under US occupation.. IRAN is no sweet spot here!!!

    True! If it's really happens, I don't' think that there will be any invasion or occupation, It's going to be a precision target bombing campaign!
