What Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickremesinghe have done to Wasim Thajudeen and Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera is abhorrent. What kind of people would cause such trauma to a family by digging up the body of a loved one and using it to slander political rivals and win votes? What kind of people would use and then dump an elderly Buddhist monk by taking advantage of his ideals and completely ignore him even when he falls ill and lies dying in a hospital?
This is the calibre of the president and prime minister of Sri Lanka; hungry for power and short on basic human decency. Absolutely and utterly shameful. It doesn't matter who you voted for or which political party you support, have the courage and integrity to stand up and condemn this vile behaviour.
