wat is I/O controller??????? pls help!!!

Ull have to wait till Anusha or zCexVe comes.....

It is a chip to connect to devices such as mouse,keyboard,printer,hard disk,CD rom etc(peripheral devices) .....Cant be sure though...

    Hmm,There are several I/O controllers in a PC.About what do you wanna know?I'll tell you if I know.Usually I/O controllers are placed to avoid collision between data ,route the data to its designed paths,buffer the data till a request arrive(keep the data),Works as a agent between the system and the input/output device likewise thing.The general meaning of it.Controls the input and output.In motherboards there is a main I/O controller usually all the same in every mobos.Its a square shaped one 2 x 1 cm size,engraved on it "Winbond".
