Weathered heart
You had a weathered heart,
Thrashed by losing your love,
You taught me well,
But all in all you were still departed.
You were the still before the storm,
The sun after the rain.
An unmovable force no matter what the pain.
Your heart didn't survive in the end,
you were just a shell.
But selfishly I wished you would survive,
one more minute,
one more second,
Just one more day,
But my wishes have failed.
Your story has ended.
The only closure I will get,
Is six feet under the six feet over a dream
