Hello and welcome to this edition of travel blog. Today, our expert from the Swiss Tourism Bureau, Feng Hui, will talk about how to enjoy budget travel in Switzerland. When it comes to budget travel, transportation is usually what we refer to first. With the tickets from the Swiss travel system, you'll find it easy to travel anywhere in Switzerland. "I think that is really quite convenient for Chinese travelers traveling in Switzerland. Swiss travel system issued tickets for foreign travelers. They call it Swiss pass. For example, if you want to spend 7 days in Switzerland, you can buy 8-day Swiss pass. From the first day you enter Switzerland, during the valid period, you can take all the public transportation at (upon) limited times, including the trains, city bus, boat, and pos bus, which is like our long distance bus in China." Since this year, all the museums have been included in the Swiss pass so you can visit all the museums around the country for free. In Switzerland getting into most parks is free. "For us,aabercormbie, we usually think we need to pay entrance fee to enter a park, but in Switzerland, people think the mountain belong to the nature, everyone is the kid of the nature, so we are free and welcome to see the mountains, if you think I am strong enough and full of energy, you can go up the mountain by feet (on foot), no problem, you do not need to pay anything. But you say I want to take the mountain railway or cable car, you have to pay for them. Many travelers think it's expensive to travel in Switzerland. However, for those young people and budget travelers, Swiss pass is a solution. "For 8-day Swiss pass, it's around 3500 yuan. And you can stay in youth hotels, I also try this by myself, all the hotels in Switzerland are very clean. If you are a backpacker, you can stay in budget hotels or youth hotels, it really saves lots of your budgets. For youth hotel, it costs around 200 yuan. So I think it quite acceptable." So far, you can take direct flights to Switzerland from Shanghai and Hongkong. But if your departure is from Beijing, you have to transfer at another European citie like Amsterdam or Frankfurt. The flight usually takes about ten hours. In addition, travelers can apply Schengen visa before traveling to Switzerland, because it has become a European Schengen country in 2008. This will make your trip more convenient. "If it's the first time for you to travel to Switzerland, go there in summer season, because you can see the green Alps, also the white Alps. On the snow mountains, you can also see glacier. But if you really focus on specific things, such as skiing, then go there in winter time." Q&A: Reporter: "Would you please share with us some stories about your travels in Switzerland, or what impressed you the most?" Feng Hui: "What impressed me the most I think is how kind Swiss people they are. They'd really like to help you. Let's say, when I try to find a place, they will tell you "ok, I'm just on (the way to) that direction, I'll lead you there. So they'll talk with you, ask where you come from. Especially when you tell them I am from China, they are really (surprised) and ask questions about China." Feng Hui says Switzerland is also a very clean country. And environmental protection has been already a concept of their daily life. In Zurich, all the water from fountains is drinkable. You don't have to bother to go to supermarket buying bottled water. When you get thirsty, you can come to the fountain and drink some water. Everyone trys their best to keep the city clean. Now let's see how much you are going to spend for a budget travel in Switzerland. According to Feng Hui, what cost you the most are the roundtrip flights. The seven-day Swiss pass inside the country costs about 4000 yuan, and youth hotel 200 yuan each night, which includes breakfast. So you need to pay about 200 yuan for lunch and dinner everyday. But don't forget, you don't have to bother to buy water.相关的主题文章: Police Arrest Zimbabwe Energy Minister Again, Rest 他们说, 还要牵着你的手 Last month the head of Fifa Sepp Blatter wrote to Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff to express concern over delays in the construction of stadiums and infrastructure for the World Cup.
