If it's wired you will need a network port (most PCs should have one in built on the mother board). Then you fix the router to the PC using the network cable, access the router and setup ADSL. Then you should be connected without needing software drivers for windows or linux. You can also share the internet via the router with other computers and have a mini network if you like.
