What is the best download accelerator?

I tried different types of download managers but none work like they recommend themselves in their ads! I tried Download Accelerator Plus and it was very disappointing and turned out to be a money-making machine than a freeware. For the timebeing i am using Free Internet Download Manager. And it's full of shit too.

So guys, can u recommend me a better download manager????
