2.Vedio Editing(Not a Professional but Adobe Premier pro 1) & capturing
3.Programing(Visual net)
4.Other Entertainment Things(watching DVDs,listening Music)

yeah im also agreed with Sri_lions comment...it depends on what u want and what u can afford.....As i know the BEST AND MOST expensive brands are FUJITSU,SONY VIOS,ASUS LAMBOGHINI,TOSHIBA SAT PRO(Affordable).....
As im a MAC Lover i got a apple iBook which is very handy.....Hp presario is also a popular laptop but it have some issues with VISTA, and ASUS pro31F will be a good choice too...But i dont know about the availability and Price in SL..

Hmmm Acer ???? i know most of the ppl in SL using Aser but i dont know whats the reason...one of ma friend got ACER lap but suddenly it stops working....so if you going to buy ACER be carefull and the BEST thing is to Look at product review and a customer comments...
