To be able to make anything close to 150k you need to be in a managerial position.

I'm talking about the private sector here buddeh. You got it all confused. I've worked at some of the biggest blue chip corporations in SL. Most of their executives start with 25k and hardly reach 50 before they leave.
The average annual pay increase is either 10 or 5 percent. Facts.

Definitely not, I personally know a number of guys who started their career with 100k + salaries in the IT sector. Definitely not the majority though. 50k for 5 years is really bad tho

Just because you are getting a shitty salary doesn't mean it's the same situation for everyone else.
There are many IT companies paying around 120000 rs for fresh graduates (including where I work)
