If we(as a community) don’t pay them, they are not going to kill animals any more. Killing animals contributed significantly to extinction of Buddhism. Like what happened in the coastal area in sri lanka. We are promoting the emergence of a animal killing population by eating flesh. That population divert into another religion, as they can’t continue their job, while observing “Paanaathipaatha” every day.We are not only concerned about being vegetarian. We are concerned in all other Sokkha padha as well, and learning and following what load Buddha told.
