Few artists releases their songs to public media like youtube, but many don’t and most songs you find on forums and youtube are illegal copies. Do you know that even recording songs broadcasted over radio is considered illegal in some countries? Your ignorance about music copyrights is unbelievable. I dont want to quote huge paragraphs from legal documents here, because I think most of the ppl here actually knows about music copyright laws even though they break them. But since you don't seem to have any clue, please go through this site and read about it.
What on earth made you think that TV programs are free and ok to copy? TV programs are copyrighted the same way movies and songs are. True, few TV shows are available on the internet (through the broadcaster's site), but not all; and even those are restricted to a specific region. Producers of those TV programs have decided to release them online, but that doesn’t mean all the TV programs are free. Next time when you watch a TV episode pay attention to the credits and copyright notices at the end!.
Dude, what are you talking about ?? Haven’t you seen TV programs on DVDs? Go to Amazon or any other popular website selling legal content and search for TV programs, you’ll see plenty of programs are released on DVDs.
Looks to me like you are a little confused here.... I think what you wanted to say was *inappropriate* content, not *illegal* content. Because as i said before, copying and sharing sofwtare, movies, TV episodes and music is considered illegal by law, there is no question about it. Porn is too in SL (but not in all countries); but some of the adult content (non nude), advertising and spam is not exactly illegal perse, rather inappropriate, and not allowed in thus forum. I think you've got those two mixed up...
Next time before starting a thread like this please get your facts straight.
