What's your best Windows XP uptime?

I'm talking about Windows XP :D
How long have you been able to run it straight without shutting down? Hibernation doesn't count as a shutdown, because all the programs & stability problems are still there when you resume. But the time you keep it in hibernation doesn't count OK. The computer has to be running.

For me, it's almost about 5 days, and counting. At the moment, there are no errors at all. Windows is behaving really well. But this will not go for too long, because when Vista RC1 is released, I will switch to it (fulltime hopefully).

You can check the uptime in system information (easier if you go to command prompt and type systeminfo
But I don't know if it also counts the time the computer was in standby.

;)

My 5 days ARE in a row, except for 0730hrs and 1130hrs break today as I had to go for an exam. Can't take the chance of leaving it ON because of the power failures. Yes, my UPS doesn't have that "autoshutdown" feature in a power failure. I should buy one that supports it.

I started this thread mainly because people are having the misconception that Windows XP is a least stable OS in the world.

Are you crazy? They are releasing RC1 in a few days. Vista will released manufacturers in October; MS keeping to their promises for a change.

Yes there are workarounds to my problem with the UPS. But I'd rather buy a new UPS, not only for the sake of that feature, but I need a bigger UPS that can hold the power to the PC for a considerable time. My current UPS (PowerTree S600B) can't do at least 10 minutes with the monitor turned on.

Do they only have one model or is there a choice? What model do you have?

Novindu is right its in kinsey rd, boralla.

I wanted to buy the big one Viper Patriot (the one they show in TV). But they said it was out of stock at the moment so i got the Viper Elite (black) one. The Viper Patriot was 7000 Rs and Elite is 4,500.

The Viper Elite is 600VA and has 4 power slots. I dont know about the other one.
