    Ursa Major
Bigbang theory, Breaking bad and Firefly.

The reasons are that BBT is the funniest and witty TV series I ever watched, and The BB is one of the best plots I've seen in any TV series that has a decent ending. Firefly, I like space travel, and the cast includes Morena Baccarin.

Okay let’s get something out of the way first…you have your Breaking Bad and Soprano and The Wire etc. We’ve all heard good things about these. I'm not going to make my case as to why should watch them because they are obviously very well done and you ought to have watched them by now.

I’ll tell you about three of my favorite but lesser-known shows.

Deadwood— Because David Milch is a genius writer of dialogs, perhaps the best in American television right now apart from Aaron Sorkin. Only three seasons; full of loquacious cowboys and long conversations. If you enjoy clever, witty dialogs this is it. And a lot of cursing. A lot.

The Young Pope— Good director becomes a master when they successfully tackle the human issue of faith. Very difficult thing to do but Sorrentino has done it like no one else did. It's about the (fictional) first ever American pope; sexy, orthodox, not unlike a trailblazing CEO and played by Jude Law. Funny, spiritual and dark in equal measures.

Louie— Louis CK’s 5-season comedy series. Funniest show I’ve seen period. Blend of raw, introspective humor and storytelling and offers an honest perspective on Louis’ own life in NY with some fictional flourishes here and there. Also has a nice format where each episode stands alone as a mini-story. Genuinely funny, insightful, philosophical, bittersweet, makes me laugh at the absurdity of being but makes me fall in love with living at the same time.
