I feel sorry for you.
We are not talking about being above or below anything. We are talking about being proud as a nation; as a racial group. As you can see, our Sri Lankan Muslim brothers are proud to be Sri Lankans. This does not make them bad Muslims because Muslim is their racial group; or bad Islam believers because Islam is their religion.
There is an honour in being a Sri Lankan. It's not just a place where we were born; we're part of a great civilization.

well I am not an expert on Islam but as far as I know nationalism is forbidden. Which means thay have to unite under one nation as Muslims some say "Ummah" or one nation. So dividing as Sri Lankans Indian and pakistanis is just wrong accrding to islam. Am I correct my muslims friedns or did I miss something?
Then I guess it's wrong to play cricket or any other sport for any country, right? For example, Pakistanis should not play against Bangladeshis.
My point is we should not fight over discrepancies but these divisions do exist. True, we accept all humans as such and stand against discrimination. But that will not take away the fact that some people are white coccasians, some are yellow mongoloids and some are black negroids. Reality is there whether we accept or not.
You have said right what i have highlighted but after that is not true.
There is no restriction in Islam on living anywhere in the world.

Some time back, Gazaly said the Saudi government has restricted Saudi citizens visiting Mecca in order to pave way for people from other countries. Clearly, the Saudi government has accepted nationalism here. Some extremists who live in a dream world never realize even when the truth is right in front of their face.
