But QPI cant beat HT :P
Actually, Intel's good old FSB didn't have to play hard ball with HTT either :P

Overclocking an AMD is confusing and boring than overclocking a Core 2 (imho). Same with Ci1. Sucks!

AMD made the Hypertransport bus and they moved onto IMCs :D
That is what made Intel to implement QPI and a tri channel DDR3 MC on the core i7s, C2Q were bottlenecked by memory bandwith :D
Actually they were not bottlenecked by Memory Bandwidth, they were bottlenecked by the system BUS speed AKA FSB, DDR2 has More than enough Bandwidth for any application that we see today.

About QuickPath and Hyper Transport, QP is a essentially a HT clone that has the same features (But Lacks the Speed), but its propitiatory and can only be used by Intel Hardware, HT on the other hand is a Open standard controlled by Hypertransport Consortium, and can be used on wide variety of hardware, and the technology is quite mature now (8 years), if u try to compair the speed HT wipe the slate clean with 51.2 GB/s Bi-Directional Bandwidth, compaired to 32GB/s Max of QuickPath, The reason some AMD processors are slower on HT than Core 2 on FSB is cecause of the Slower MicroArchtecture of the Early AMD processors (K8, K10). HT is Technically Superiror to QP in every way, thats why Lots of companies use HT for High Perforamnce computing including IBM on their Super Computer and Cisco with their Wide Range of Routers.

Intel can afford to reduce prices their products. But aint doing it.
Amd had a problem with durability of their products.Specially early Athlons.
For Gaming I recommend ATI at the moment.

lmao,, nVidia only 4 votes so far
aww well most of the good things they have are Acquired from 3Dfx, now that was the most awesome GFX card company ever, nvidia is not a technology pioneer of sorts

I think AMD going for new things too soon is their downfall. Intel is cunning, and wise, they wait and see what happens to the rival. even core 2 was created after the dothan chip proved to be excellent.

that's why they named their processors to mislead buyers

    Core2™ & Pentium DualCore™ etc :P

actually i think AMD did that. Core i7 940 vs. Phenom II 940 :D
naming Core 2 grade CPUs as Pentium Dual Core was a mistake imo. People mistake it for the old PentiumD CPUs.
