I think AMD going for new things too soon is their downfall. Intel is cunning, and wise, they wait and see what happens to the rival. even core 2 was created after the dothan chip proved to be excellent.

AMD/ATI FTW. That was their downfall;sad to say that.They brought many new efficient features I can think of,had their future plans with seemingly fool proof ideas,but they didn't had any money to develop them after ATIs' purchase.
ATI always had new features briging down.Unlike nVIDIAs renaming the same GPU or changing the clocks and renaming ATI never had a issue like that As I remember.Thats why I always been a fanboy of AMD/ATI.

Just saying nVIDIA will close the chipsets and move on to nettops to compete with VIA.So it is all again a battle for chipsets like in the old ages for the AMD CPUs.I think nVIDIA will win as they have money.

That is what made Intel to implement QPI and a tri channel DDR3 MC on the core i7s, C2Q were bottlenecked by memory bandwith
