I haven't posted in this thread for a long time so I'll give the last 5 I saw. 1. Gravity This movie was really good and had a great message. I wasn't that happy with the ending but I think it finished like that because it wasn't the main point of the movie, the main point was how she conquered herself, her fears, any obstacles that she faced, in order to complete the mission and get to safety. When the movie finished I was like "omg what happened, that's the end?!?! and my friend said oh, it's based off a true story. So I went home excited to read this woman's story only to find out it's a pure work of fiction haha. 10/10 2. The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug I didn't really like the camera style. When it first came on I thought something was wrong with the film. It looked like it was a kid's 3D project in photoshop. I saw it in a RPX movie so they said it's supposedly better picture and sound quality but I saw no difference. The director drew out the film when he could have easily have ended it in this one, so that means I have to wait again to see how he'll end the story. 6/10 3. Anchorman 2 This was a touch and go movie, a lot of jokes were offensive and I know my friend felt uncomfortable during some of the black jokes. Her comment after the film was over was that she "wasn't white enough for the film". A lot of jokes were references to things that happened before I was born in popular culture at that time so some of them I didn't get either. The movie was ok. I would tell someone rather than buy a ticket just download it or buy the bootleg dvd or something. 5/10 4. The Conjuring Supposedly a scary movie. Maybe if I saw it in my room in the dark alone maybe it would have been more scary, but I went to the theatre to see it and a lot of people were making jokes about how the actors were interacting with the supposed ghosts so a lot of times when we were supposed to be screaming we were laughing. I had a good time. 6/10 5. The Perfect Storm This movie came on tv on New Years day so I figured I might relax and watch it since I've never seen it, plus I love fishing and felt like I could relate to working class guys just trying to make a living. I was expecting a happy ending, I didn't know it was going to end the way that it did. Good story though so I'd recommend it. 8/10
