It's possible, I had really low expectations for it, just because the lame trailer I guess. The opposite happened to me.![]()
Guru
A masterpiece
My Ratings 8.5

One of the very few film that Indians cinema ever produced.
And Abishek just rocked the show !!!
do explain that one. It's possible, I had really low expectations for it, just because the lame trailer I guess.
Sorry I disagree. This movie can be so many things but being a 'Masterpiece' isn't on of them, best thing about this movie is Rahman's music.

that was hardly the theme. It was more on having the determination to get where one wants to go by any means necessary. Even when knowing that the means necessary are hardly legal or moral.Which one? Guru not being a masterpiece?
Well simply I would say because to me, approach to the theme (theme is 'dream high then follow, you can do anything' right?) is unrealistic that makes me snort. I always got it as a just decent movie, not bad not that good either.

Guru is a sensible,hard-hitting movie for the mature audience. It's better than Wake Up Sid (my opinionSystem is rotting inside out. Those who willing to pursue their dream have no other choice but to get their hands dirty. I always like to see characters having complex mixed relations.
That press owner is like a father to Guru and destiny made them fight each other. Yet in the event of disaster they find them self running to each other.
Another good example is Mahendra perera in Babara walalla
I dont know how people not fall in love with such films. What more do you need ?

there's a secondary reason as well. This movie get extreme close to home to us as our own business-political scene is still very much like the one shown in the movie. That sub plot on getting orders by falsifying the factory capacity and then hastily fixing the factory when there's an inspection is something that is still done here.System is rotting inside out. Did you just call me 'immature'?Guru is a sensible,hard-hitting movie for the mature audience. It's better than Wake Up Sid (my opinion)

If you are looking from that dimension, I think Dabangg and Aakrosh are good.there's a secondary reason as well. @Zeus - I recommend you to watch Ajay Devgan's "Gangaajal" (2003) and post your comments/opinion on it.![]()
Hey, if the shoe fits..Did you just call me 'immature'?![]()
