    :yes: both the original version which was release in late 70/80s and the new release..both stunning!..stories are bit different...worth watching :yes:
    Anyway jus watched.. No Resevations
    Original was in the late 60s or 70s. Quite difference from this one. Micheal Cane is in that one.

    Yes..Caine was the one..And yes i did say the stories are different, I guess the new release was altered becoz of that old story won't satisfy the modern audience..:baffled:..but I loved the ending on the old movie, the bus scene.:yes:

    yeah.
    That version was more like an action comedy but the new version was all serious. That's the major difference.
    A room full of hookers would've been nice in the new one too ;)

    Finished watching The Gaunt Stranger (thanks Bacardi for the torrent).
    The movie is a pretty good adaptation of the book as it follows the book very closely.
    Only a few changes has been done like, Inspector Wemburry has been aged a lot than the books version, Inspector Bliss is made to be a Scotland Yard man from Australia as opposed to be a captain from the US police force in the book and the ending has been altered but by only a bit.
    Most of the dialog is taken directly from the book.
    For a movie made in 1938, this is bloody well done and today's movie makes who adapts books in to movies should certainly take notes from this one.
