Feature packed ITX board for €153
The first AMD Fusion motherboards are expected to start trickling onto the market within weeks and we’ve come across the first listing of an Asus Fusion board.

Dubbed E35M1-I Deluxe A50M, the mini-ITX mother is based on AMD’s Hudson M1 Fusion Controller Hub and packs AMD’s new E-350 Fusion processor. The E-350 is a 1.6GHz dual-core processor with integrated HD 6310 graphics and a TDP of just 18W. Thanks to the low TDP, the board is passively cooled and it features a rather large aluminium heatsink with four heatpipes.

The board has two DDR3 slots, a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot, DVI and HDMI outputs, two USB 3.0 ports, courtesy of an NEC controller, as well as four regular and four internal USB 2.0 ports. It also has an eSATA port, five SATA 6Gbps ports, WiFi and even Bluetooth. It’s an all solid capacitor design, which is hardly surprising considering the €150 price tag.

It might sound like a lot, but bear in mind that Atom mini-ITX boards with Nvidia’s ION graphics usually cost about €100 and they are no match for the new Fusion platform. We will probably see cheaper Fusion boards as well, since this one is overkill for most users. Sadly, we still don’t know the exact availability date.
