http://www.prabhakaranfilm.com/ Now what you have to say? You talk much about "Sinhala chauvism" all fancy words, when making comments about "Aksharaya" and all similar crap. What do you call this? Oh! You might well say, Thushara Peiris is a "paid pimp" of Mahinda. I eagerly wait to see, Ashoka Handagama, Upul Shantha Sannasgala, (and of course my favorite Sunanda Deshapriya) sit alongside Thushara Peiris, for a hunger strike to rescue the original prints of "Prabhakaran" from Tamil Nadu officials. In reality, all of them would most probably sit for a hunger strike to rescue real Prabhakaran, from ongoing military operations in Vanni, but they will never even think about sitting on a hunger strike to rescue the film "Prabhakaran". News Item one Prabhakaran evokes protests (Statesman News Service) CHENNAI, March 26: Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, an ally of the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu and many Tamil nationalist groups have threatened to burn the film rolls of a Sinhalese film on Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam supremo Mr Velupillai Prabhakaran, if there were scenes portraying the Tiger leader in bad light. Cadres of VCK and various Tamil nationalist groups gathered in front of a colour laboratory in the city, where the prints for the film titled Prabhakaran were being taken. As they indulged in protests outside the laboratory, the film director Mr Perish came out and held talks with them. He denied allegations that the film had portrayed the LTTE in bad light. The cadres and Tamil nationalists insisted that they would not allow the film to be printed in Chennai till VCK leader Mr Thol Thirumavalavan and Dr Ramadoss, leader of the PMK, a constituent of the Union Cabinet, saw and cleared the film. Finally, the director agreed to screen the film to those leaders. Tamil nationalist groups alleged that the film on Mr Prabhakaran was being produced with the help of the Sri Lankan government by a Sinhalese director, who was trying to defame the LTTE leader. They had vowed not to allow the film to be printed in Chennai and threatened to burn the film rolls if the film was an attempt to degrade the Tigers.
