When you make a statement like this, please try to post the source, buddy.

According to the following articles, So far, the covid has not been found in tap water.
"The virus can only survive for a short time outside the body. Once outside the body, the virus can no longer replicate. "

Thanks for the reply, mchn. But this is not true. Who is this idiot ?? He compares spreading methods of covid with cholera. Cholera bacteria is passed through feces(poop). It is spread by eating or drinking food or water contaminated by feces. And it is BACTERIA, NOT VIRUS. The main difference is that bacteria are free-living cells that can live inside or outside a body, while viruses are a non-living collection of molecules that need a host to survive. (replicate)

However, the COVID-19 virus reportedly attaches itself to droplets which are emitted when infected people sneeze or cough. That's why we have to use masks all the time. There is no robust scientific evidence to support airborne transmission. And let's hope that will never happen is in the future.

The first statement is wrong... If anyone wants to know search my posts in the old Covid megathreads on the viability of Covid virus on surfaces. I said this in February 2020 before anyone did the surface testing and many argued with me.
The second part is correct - the Virus cannot replicate outside a host, because for the simple reason that it needs our cells to replicate.
As long as the "capsid" doesn't degenerate, the virus remains "viable" on surfaces. Depending on the ambient temperature and the surface type it can remain viable over long periods. It likes 20 Deg C very much and can survive on stainless steel for nearly 28 days. (You can culture and grow the virus from a 28 day sample)
At 30 deg C it's about seven days and at 40 deg C only 24 hrs.

Also as stated, Covid is not waterborne. There's no evidence yet. But the original SARS virus was....

The primary mode is droplet transmission. Use the mask and the sanitizers!

Thanks for the input, mchn. I just quoted the article and didn't see that mistake.
    My mistake! I'm Sorry

Indeed! Viruses can remain viable over long periods outside the host cell.

No worries... You probaby don't read my posts. This is an extract from an older post.... Viruses do rise from the grave, literally.

"Recently in 2016, some researchers in Lithuania and Finland hoping to gather DNA from a more obscure virus collected tissue from the mummified remains of a young child found within the mid-17th century crypt of the Dominican Church. The child had no visible pox marks, but when the researchers sent the sample of the ancient DNA there was a big surprise. The sample was rich with variola, the virus that causes smallpox. The large quantity of the virus allowed the researchers to construct a high-quality copy of its genome, the first from such an old virus.
The other surprise was that this viral DNA shared many distinct features with modern strains of the variola virus, including several mutations, suggesting they were closely related. The researchers built a family tree of 49 modern strains and the child’s ancient one, and traced the evolution of all of them back to a common ancestor that arose between 1530 and 1654 C.E."

    NOT "mole" but scientific knowledge.
Actually, mchn you have to understand that විදේශ විත්ති විශ්ලේෂක and scientist are not the same. I am not විදේශ විත්ති විශ්ලේෂක. But I do know my science.

Then please update me with a reliable source.

Ps: Okay, I get it. mchn I'm also against the burials of Muslim coronavirus victims. Srilanka has one law and should not be changed for social, religious, political, or other personal reasons. Please don't view my explanations in a political manner.
