Her father Arular Pragasam (coincidentally is the name of her first album), was one of the founding fathers of the group, Eelam Revolutionary Organization of Students (EROS). EROS established relations with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to set up military training camps in Sri Lanka in 1976. And, we all know the type of group that the PLO is - the best financed terrorist group in the world according to a 1993 National Criminal Intelligence Service report and the masterminds behind the tragedy at the Munich Olympics. EROS was a heavy supporter and advisors to the group, the LTTE. Their leader, Prbhakaran, had leaders of the most established Tamil groups murdered and gave the ultimatum to join the LTTE for Tamil Pride or die. Subsequently, all groups were engulfed into the LTTE. Including EROS, where MIA's father, Arular, became a general in the LTTE. Due to their status as a terrorist group, there are no published records of their officer records, however, there are many references to her father being active in the LTTE. M.I.A is recorded as saying that she dedicated her first album to her father's political efforts in Sri Lanka. If the LTTE is recognized as a terrorist group and is the only other political faction in Sri Lanka that is in war, she is obviously speaking about supporting the LTTE.
M.I.A. could not travel into the United States in early 2006 on a 7 month visa ban. She was cited for her affiliation with the LTTE, her lyrics, music and videos. She was exposed her for her terrorist connections, however, she quickly rebounded by going to Africa and publishing photos of her working with children to preserve her reputation as a "Freedom Fighter". She is working on a clothing line that is referred to as "terrorist chic"! When has terrorism become a good way to describe something?? DeLon was born in Los Angeles and has traveled back and forth from Sri Lanka his whole life. After seeing the imagery in her albums, videos and in her lyrics, somebody had to step up and expose the truth!
