Why are we teaching only Microsoft windows and office to school children

    It was realized that we are teaching only Microsoft windows operating system and Microsoft office for school children. Then when they come for a job, either government or the private employer has to buy Microsoft operating system and Microsoft office as the employee is not familiar with ubuntu etc. This costs about Rs 80,000 per each computer. Just imagine the amount of money we have to spend as a country, when we are buying MS products to each computer in this country.
    The only way to prevent this is by starting teaching ubuntu and open office for school children.

    :yes: we shouldn't be limiting only to Windows. Linux distributions can be used in schools. Sure. But it will be an issue to find people to teach Linux.
