Pampering by parents which make children weak minded.
Most of the children
are treated like mentally retarded
by parents
and they grow mentally retarded.

Parents should make children strong
by making them independent.

Sri Lankans Muslims and Tamils grow kids like that.
Only Sinhalese treat their children like retarded zombies
who can't do anything by them selves.
Look at the way you are brought up..
If you are married with kids
look at the way you bring up your children.

ur statement is very true, on the same time parents should kit with their kids and make they don't go in wrong direction, i know few kids got too much of freedom and now the all are liqueur and drug addicts,

i got the freedom what i want and my parents knew what i was doing where i was goin etc, but i didn't knew they know those things, end of they day im such a happy person to have a great mother,

i have a happy past, present and foundation laid for a happy future too, that's all because of i have educated and intelligent mother

I don't think Sri Lankan children are treated like mentally retarded by parents. Sri lankan parents are generally more attached to their kids. They need to be strict and worry about their children; that's one of the main roles of parenting. Parents also have to give the children some independence too.
A lot of teen suicides happen in places where parents are rarely involved in their children's lives. Too much independence can be a negative too..this is when we see teens involved in drug abuse and crimes. Sri Lankan parents are usually very involved with their childrens' lives and become a strong source of support when children go through problems...so don't blame the parents

I am not talking about Teenagers.
They are gone if they are bad.
It is too late.
The first few years are the most important.
