Why do some people think they can easily do the job of an IT expert if they have a laptop with an internet connection ? I see this tendency among people who lost their jobs + people who failed in their studies .

Can't they? I mean not only IT or SE. anything (From rocket science, nuclear physics to complex economics) can be self-taught using the internet these days. The only skill you need is the skill to use the internet correctly. ( Just my opinion)

Lol, I think you misunderstood what I said. I said basics not the advanced stuff. I am not living or working in your country. I am quite sure I am pretty good at what I do as even AWS wants to hire me. lol

Well, I'd not consider going deeper into rabbit hole unless you have passion because it's anti-specialization which is eventually anti-trade

If you can get a fully maxed out laptop with 1gbps internet connection, you can directly apply for a solution architect position or something equivalent.
