Like madurax86 said most of the games are male oriented ones..
I mean i can hardly imagine a girl playing GTA IV with so much interest....hehe
But some girls do like gaming...i knew a girl who was crazy over "Sims" sometime back...
So computer gaming is one of the few areas where we dnt have to compete with the feminine lot...lol..
But who knows..Times are changing

females are soo indirect in their built as males(the game industry is led mostly by males, i mean not the producers the coders and designers) are direct and know what they want(they can choose for one time and can end up being feeling sick of wht they have chosen that why we keep on playing the same games for decades[CS, starcraft ..etc])
games for girls should be designed by girls too because even though we know them we cant figure out what they really desire thats the main reason males figure out what they need directly but females dont may be they are different to each other
