I want to connect a Laptop to a Desktop through WIFI which the Laptop has wifi and the Desktop is directly connected to a wifi Router. Can i do that ? Please help me to do so if yes

Is this going to work with wifi ? Or is it only for direct cable connection ? The Laptop has XP while the Desktop has 8

Possible. Because at the moment I'm using my laptop with two wired desktops. Speed is not that bad. 4MB/s to 6MB/s. If I use 150Mb/s / 300Mb/s on my wi-fi adapter, I can get the maximum speed which my desktop wired connections support.
