In June, you can upload as many pictures as you want of the recognized natural areas that you have visited. Pictures don't have to be taken in June, but must be uploaded that month to be considered for the contest. Starting on July 1, the contest's Sri Lankan jury will begin evaluating the photographs, and awarding prizes for the best pictures in Sri Lanka, later that month. The Sri Lankan jury will then select the 10 best from Sri Lanka to be sent to the international jury.
Local Contest (Sri Lanka):
1st place: Voucher1 worth LKR 35,000
2nd place: Voucher1 worth LKR 26,000
3rd place: Voucher1 worth LKR 20,000
Top 10 winners: Wikipedia branded merchandise: Water bottles, Mugs, Pens, Stickers, Wiki Loves Earth branded tote bags.
The top 10 winning photographs will be submitted to the international round. Winners will be announced by 31 July.
International Contest:
1st place winner will get a full scholarship to attend Wikimania 2020 - the largest annual gathering of Wikimedians worldwide - or an Amazon voucher for the same value. Other international prizes are Amazon vouchers (the value depends on the participant's place), and there are also prizes per country.
