he's a good public speaker alright. and i think he's got some good leadership qualities.
but the problem with this guy is that he doesn't have a good educational background. so he is not suitable for any of the positions in the list. i believe that he should be in the SL parliament though.

    Opportunistic Parrots
The soul of most of JVP front liners were already venemed with hard core Marxism. They tolerate these new liberal changes only because they witnessed drastic growth in their vote base in return. However most of them are either a bunch of rotten Marxist in heart or mere opportunistic dumb characters. Most of these JVP front liners are only capable of vomiting Marxism in monotonic tune. Their speeches are as dry as dust and they are bunch of covert people without any cultural and social roots in this society.

    Distinct personality
In the contrary Wimal Weerawansa was able to map Marxism with our culture and history. He was a confident leader with natural ability to attract people. Wimal Weerawansa truly believed in social liberalism and he was playing an active role in putting JVP back in democratic track. He did not have a long military history and he was already popular in Sri Lanka as a journalist who worked for “Hiru”, “Lakmina” and “Lakdiva” news papers under the name of ‘Wimalasiri Gamlath’. He never became a blind follower, but a constructive and realistic professional politician. Wimal Weerawansa is a skilled organizer, eloquent public speaker, powerful debater, creative writer, a poet and above all a sensitive human being who loved his mother land even more than he loved himself or his party. He unconditionally fights against all the evil forces including western colonial powers, their local agents in the form of petty political parties and INGO’s and separatist terrorists. Wimal Weerawansa was the biggest threat to the empty people only with big ambitions.

    Is Mervyn educated...
I don't think Mahinda doesn't think so low
to think about such useless qualifications.
Where is the education qualifications checked in
    politicians nominations.

    Osho says...
"Now, as things are, the profession of the politician is the only profession which needs no qualification. Even if you want to be a plumber, some kind of qualification will be needed, some training in plumbing, some certificate. But if you want to be the president, no certificate is needed. It seems strange: plumbing is more important than the presidency! If you want to be a senator, no qualification is needed. If you want to be a teacher in a kindergarten school, qualifications are needed."

I think his lack of Education cause no problem for any of the posts...
Those posts are held by people who can get most votes.
Wimal can do that. He says he got Mahinda won.
People don't care what he does to get votes...
if he get votes people will trust him,
    respect him
    and do anything for him.
He is qualified for the posts.
But it seems that no one thinks he is good for finance.
perhaps they may have lost trust because
he failed to unplug from World bank.
Govt did but inflation went so high.

He is talented than Ranil (Ranna ponil)......
He can speak far better than Ranil (Ranna ponil)
He can attract ppl far better than Ranil (Ranna ponil)
His personality (appearance) is better than Ranil (Ranna ponil)
He has done less damage to the country than Ranil (Ranna ponil)

So he is a better person than Ranil (Ranna ponil) and he is very very much suited for politics in Sri Lanka, better than Ranil (Ranna ponil)

If I am to select a person, I will not select Ranil for sure (who has betrayed our ppl and country many times). If there is no any other person (other than Ranil and Wimal), no option, have to select Wimal..
