Win 8.1 Vs Win 8 Vs win 7

it says Windows 8.1 having some problems and not yet given solutions by Intel or MS.

As per experts Win 7 is the most trustworthy and credible OS after Xp

There are many allegation in respect of Win8.1 regarding power problems, motherboard issues and warning massage too.


what is the opinion of Elakirianz about this.

Any Experiences,advices, recommendations ?

as far as I noticed windows 8.1 is a bit faster than windows 7 I have been using windows 7 for like a couple of years (more than 2+ years not sure how long exactly) so I could clearly see the differences of both OSs. in these areas windows 8.1 is a bit faster/better than windows 7.

-resource management (less GPU, Memory consumption but windows 7's aero theme consumes a lot of gpu power just for the OS and windows 8.1 also uses less system memory even after a lot of software are installed)

-file copying is a bit faster

-directx 11 games perform much better because of directx11.1 support on windows 8.1 so less stutter and less lags and a bit high frame rate.

-shutdown/turn off is a bit faster

I found that since windows 8.1 has metro support you can use metro apps from windows store and there are a lot of cool metro apps that can be downloaded and installed on windows just like on google playstore.

I heard Laptop repair guys saying win8.1 os makes i3 i5 i7 processors super unwanted speed of operation which will make system board issues very soon.And further Laps having win8.1 may not have long life

update the chipset driver and also the windows 8.1 OS
Intel released many chipset drivers for newer chipsets that come with newer processors.

intel just only a side of a coin.
problem was with MS.
get a better performance with windows 8 and 8.1...
gamers choice should be windows 7 as i know

i think as performance win 8 is best .once you get used to win 8 you will never turn back to win 7.
win 8 and win 8.1 i cant see much different .for me start menu is useless .
start up / shut down file copy speed is excellent compare to win 7 .

and i love system refresh in win 8 and 8.1

HI !!! Is there ANYone plz let me knw, Am using core I3 2GB ram acer 4752 lap and runing OS is 8.1. My problem is when I surfing my lap getting slow eventually. It's mean my lap not compatible for this OS or some other problem ? hope to see your answers on this...
